SBI: A Welcome Addition for Small Businesses
Spring 2004
Chattanooga, TN. If you're a small business owner, you may have worried about the time and cost of sending employees out of town for additional training or for enhancing your own business acumen. Now, improved skills are as close as Chattanooga State Technical Community College.
"Small businesses are the backbone of our economy," says Richard Burke, director of Continuing Education at Chattanooga State Technical Community College (CSTCC). "The Small Business Institute (SBI) is here to help further the success of small businesses in our area."
The SBI offers non-credit, business-related training courses for employers and employees alike. Whether you need to enhance your skills at QuickBooks, create a Web site for your company, or provide mandated safety training for your employees, the Small Business Institute can help.
Businesses with any number of employees can benefit from the SBI's wide range of classes. If the course your business needs isn't offered, custom
classes are available. And as the needs of Chattanooga small businesses change, so will the course offerings at the SBI.
Brand new to CSTCC, the SBI is a cost-effective way to provide needed training and continued education to help your business start on the road to success and stay there.
"Anyone with or thinking of establishing a small business can benefit from the SBI," Burke explains. "Our goal is to help small companies streamline operations, increase profits, and decrease cost, all of which are vital if a small business is going to thrive."
